The Lantern
Privacy

What the road
keeps.

A reader should not have to surrender unnecessary personal information in order to enter The Lantern. This page describes the data the current website may handle and why.

This policy is for the website itself. It does not describe a future Inner Order membership community, coaching relationship, or Inner Media account; those would require their own terms and privacy notices.

01

Browsing the site

Web hosting, security, and network providers may receive ordinary technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP address, request time, browser information, and requested pages. Server logs may retain some of this information for security and operational purposes.

02

Contact messages

If you use the contact form, we receive the name, email address, topic, and message you choose to submit. We use that information to read, route, and respond to your inquiry and to maintain reasonable business records.

03

Letters and mailing lists

The current Letters page does not collect an email address. If a mailing list is opened later, subscription consent, unsubscribe controls, the service provider, and relevant data practices will be documented before collection begins.

04

Cookies

WordPress and its hosting environment may use cookies required for administration, security, or logged-in sessions. The public site is not being designed around behavioral advertising. Any future analytics or optional services will be reviewed before launch and this notice updated when necessary.

05

Sale of personal data

Inner Order Press does not sell personal information submitted through this website to advertisers or data brokers.

06

External destinations

The site may link to retailers, IOIM projects, or other websites. Once you leave this site, the destination’s own privacy practices apply.

Retention & requests

Keep only what has a reason to remain.

Contact correspondence may be retained for as long as reasonably needed to answer the message, maintain publishing or business records, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. The exact retention practice will be reviewed again before production launch.

Questions about information submitted through the website can be sent through the contact page. We may need enough information to identify the correspondence being requested.

Before launch

This notice will travel with the site.

As we connect production email, analytics (if any), commerce, or membership tools, this page should be updated to describe what is actually running rather than what we once expected to run.
